Kohler Credit Union and Shipbuilders Credit Union are pleased to announce the successful progression of their merger, having obtained both regulatory and resounding member approval. This strategic alliance represents a noteworthy milestone as the credit unions unite to form a more robust financial institution committed to addressing the diverse needs of their combined membership.
In a strategic move aimed at fortifying financial strength, enhancing member experience, and broadening community impact, Kohler Credit Union and Shipbuilders Credit Union jointly announce their intent to merge, subject to regulatory approval and membership vote. The merger has been approved by both credit unions’ boards of directors. The combined entity will operate under the name Kohler Credit Union.
Kohler Credit Union will open the doors to its 16th branch location on July 9. The branch, located within the Manitowoc Meijer, will be a full-service branch, including an ATM. This will be the first Kohler Credit Union branch in Manitowoc County, and will support the significant membership base Kohler Credit Union currently has in the area and provide an additional option for financial services for new members.
